Kvarteto Norbert jsme založili v roce 2003, abychom se věnovali intenzivně komorní hudbě a obohatili tak naše působení v České filharmonii. Při společné práci uplatňujeme bohaté zkušenosti získané v jiných komorních souborech. K pojmenování kvarteta nás inspiroval Sv.Norbert z Xanten, patron České země a velká duchovní postava raného středověku.

We established the Norbert Quartet in 2003. Our aim was to play more chamber music and enrich our activity in the Czech Philharmonic. During our work we apply our rich experiences from other chamber ensembles. Saint Norbert from Xanten, a Czech patron saint and a great spiritual personality of the Middle Ages inspired us to name this quartet.

 

Milan Vavřínek

Milan Vavřínek (nar. 1977) -studoval na Pražské konzervatoři u Nory Grumlíkové a vedle sólové hry se věnoval již tehdy komorní hře. Vzdělání si doplnil na mistrovských kurzech u Franca Gulliho ve švýcarském Sionu. Ještě v době konzervatorních studií vyhrál konkurz do skupiny prvních houslí České filharmonie, kam nastoupil v roce 1996. Komorní hře se věnuje v Českém komorním orchestru a členem Kvarteta Norbert je od jeho založení na jaře roku 2003. Hraje na nástroj z dílny mistra J. Klotze z roku 1793.

Milan Vavřínek (born 1977) studied at the Prague Conservatory under Nora Grumlíková, and in addition to solo performance he also devoted himself to chamber music. He completed his education at violin courses under Franco Gulli in Sion, Switzerland. While still a student at the conservatory, he won the competition to the group of first violins of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, which he joined in 1996. He has played chamber music in the Czech Chamber Orchestra and has been a member of the Norbert Quartet since its establishment in the spring of 2003.

 He plays an instrument from the workshop of Master J. Klotz of 1793.

 

Petr Havlín

 Petr Havlín (nar.1976) vystudoval Pražskou konzervatoř ve třídě Jaroslava Foltýna a od sezony 1997/1998 byl přijat do skupiny druhých houslí České filharmonie. Již v době studií se vedle sólové činnosti věnoval komorní hře v různých souborech. Od roku 1991 je členem a sólistou komorního orchestru Collegium Musicum Universitatis Carolinae, s nímž koncertuje doma i v zahraničí.Členem Kvarteta Norbert je od jeho založení na jaře roku 2003. 

Hraje na housle od starého českého mistra J. G. Hellmera.

Petr Havlín (born 1976) studied at the Prague Conservatory under Jaroslav Foltýn, and since the 1997/1998 season he has joined the group of second violins of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 1991 he has been a member and a soloist of the chamber orchestra Collegium Musicum Universitatis Carolinae, with which he gives concerts both at home and abroad. He has been a member of the Norbert Quartet since its establishment in 2003. 

He plays an instrument from the old Czech master J. G. Hellmer.

 

Jiří Řehák

 Jiří Řehák (nar. 1964) vystudoval Konzervatoř v Pardubicích (u Ladislava Kyseláka) a Akademii múzických umění v Praze u Lubomíra Malého. Během studia hrál v několika komorních souborech, mj. s Kvartetem AMU (pozdějším Wihanovým kvartetem). Od roku 1989 je členem České filharmonie a komorní hře se věnuje jako člen Českého komorního orchestru, Violového kvarteta České filharmonie. Členem Kvarteta Norbert je od jeho založení na jaře roku 2003. 

Hraje na violu z dílny starého českého mistra J. U. Eberleho. 

Jiří Řehák (born 1964) studied at the Conservatory in Pardubice (under Ladislav Kyselák) and at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under Lubomír Malý. While still a student, he played in several chamber ensembles such as the Academy of Performing Arts Quartet (later called the Wihan Quartet). Since 1989 he has been a member of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, and plays chamber music as a member of the Czech Chamber Orchestra, Viola Quartet of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, and now also the Norbert Quartet. 

He plays a viola from the workshop of the old Czech master J. U. Eberle.

 

Josef Špaček

 Josef Špaček st. (nar.1962) je absolventem Konzervatoře a Janáčkovy akademie múzických umění v Brně, kde studoval u prof. Bedřicha Havlíka. Kariéru komorního hráče nastoupil jako člen Wallingerova kvarteta. Roku 1990 nastoupil do České filharmonie, kde od roku 1997 zastává funkci zástupce koncertního mistra violoncell. Je zakládajícím členem Sexteta českých filharmoniků, které vzniklo na půdě České filharmonie, věnuje se také interpretaci barokní hudby v komorním souboru Pro arte antiqua Praha, je členem unikátního souboru členů České filharmonie Virtuosi di basso a od roku 2004 také Kvarteta Norbert. 

Hraje na violoncello od francouzského mistra G.Bernardell.

Josef Špaček Sr. (born 1962) graduated from the Conservatory and the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno, where he studied under Professor Bedřich Havlík. He began his career of a chamber music player as a member of the Wallinger Quartet. In 1990 he joined the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, where he has been deputy concertmaster of the cello group since 1997. He is a founding member of the Czech Philharmonic Sextet, which came into being within the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra; he devotes himself to interpretation of Baroque music in the chamber ensemble Pro Arte Antiqua Prague; he is a member of a special ensemble of members of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Virtuosi di Basso; and since 2004 also the Norbert Quartet. 

He plays a violoncello from French violinmaker G.Bernardel - Paris.
